In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.
This is one of my favorite passages, because my life can get crazy sometimes. The LORD says to rejoice in Him always, so happy are the people whose God is the LORD! But seriously, when you’re having a bad day, or feeling inadequate, and the Lord’s light, lights up your life, don’t you feel better, and content!? “Godliness with contentment is great gain.” 1 Timothy 6:6
So, I’d like to thank God for His tender mercies. His presence means a lot.
Somehow, I’m not sure how, I wound up with a little sample of the bi-monthly magazine, Mysterious Ways. The sample said I could order another one free, so I did. It’s so well-written and intriguing, and all about special events that happen in the life.
Here’s a smattering of what customers are saying:
“I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this magazine. It is the best magazine I have EVER seen! I am going to buy it for birthday presents, Christmas presents, and just for the LOVE of it. My granddaughter and I wait for it to come and take turns reading it to one another.”
“This is a wonderfully inspiring magazine! Choice of articles exceeded my expectations in writing, variety and true testimonies of God in action!”
See, told ya!
Bob Dylan said if you’re not busy being born, you’re busy dying… I don’t know if I’m the only one out there who’s seriously lost sometimes, like I have nothing to cling to, and I’m drowning… It’s a horror story…
That being said, J.R.R. Tolkien says that not all who wander are lost, I prayed to the LORD to seek your servant like it says in Psalm 119:176 (the absolute last verse of the longest chapter), for I feel like a lost sheep.
In Lauren Daigle’s song Rescue, God promises to find me. 🙂 So I have nothing to fear, just had to get that off my chest.
Thinking about Sprite Cranberry, and how much I love this commercial:
In the spirit of sharing music, I thought I’d share another hit, where the women really shine through. We all know Michael W. Smith can sing, but check out these two!
Yesterday… one of my favorite Christian songs sung by a woman, came on. It’s a slow song, I like to think, for meditation… But it came on, and darkness had fallen, and I was inspired to turn it up, on full blast, speakers blaring. It was quite the experience, and I’d like to share it with you…
The chorus is very melodic, “When did I forget that You’ve always been the king of the world/ try to take life back right out of the hands of the king of the world,” it brought tears to my eyes.
Lately I do feel like I’ve been on my own. Not because God’s abandoned me, but because I might not be following His advice. It’s very demoralizing–But, like the song goes, why, oh, why, Ashley!
